Summer Camp 2009 is under way!!!
We are doing something different
this year for the first time. During the month of June, Kevin Greer
our Director of Teen Programs, wrote all of our camper curriculum and
invited nationally known speakers and Christian College Professors
to come and teach our campers throughout their week of camp. We have
had more decisions so far this year than years passed! Praise be to
our God!!!!!
Extreme Makeover: Camp Como Edition
 We
have had two different groups come up and “makeover” two
of our Boys cabins! In May we hosted IRON WORKS Men’s Ministry
and Academy Christian Church. They tore off the old decks and built new
ones. They also painted and installed new flooring. Please go to our

New Camp Como Facebook Fan Page
Please sign up on Facebook and look up “Camp Como”. This is our
new Fan page that we are using to foster communication and connection with Camp
Como and our Campers. You can see pictures of the youth at their camps, pictures
of scenery around the camp, pictures from camps past (60’s and 70’s)
and video clips from High School Camp 2009.

Royal Family Kids Camp
We are working toward a new type of camp to host here at Camp Como starting
in the summer of 2010. It is called Royal Family Kids Camp and is a camp specifically
for abused, neglected, and abandoned children from the aged of 7 to 11. Please

serving families and kids that have been caught up in this kind of life, kids
that have little or no hope, kids that have no trust, kids that need to feel

Fundraising Golf Tournament at Flying Horse Ranch in Colorado
Springs
Do you love to golf? Do you love Camp Como?
We are planning to host a fundraising golf tournament
at the exclusive Golf Club at Flying Horse Ranch in
Colorado Springs in the fall of 2010. We will need
to have at least 18 foursomes in order to host this
event as well as volunteers to help make this happen.
